Hello.Shibuya Tokyo Fashion Show & Max Tan

Hello! I am dedicating my first post to a talented local fashion designer!

Me, my sister and friends went to support Max Tan, her friend since secondary school days, in Hello.Shibuya Tokyo fashion and culture mix show at Red Dot Design Museum.

A little background about him and his design label. max.tan is the first Asian-based label invited to showcase at Modefabriek in Amsterdam in 2010. Max Tan himself is a local fashion designer who is known both locally and internationally; his label is stocked even in Sweden and Germany. Locally, his designs are well loved by artistes as well.

The Japanese seem to like his designs a lot, so we were encouraging him to set up a branch in Japan. He’s still quite hesitant though, for it is a new market to venture into after all.

Still, I do think his designs were especially fantastic this time. I love the black and red theme, it looks so fierce and commanding. Anyone wearing these designs would be in the centre of the limelight.

Sometimes I manifest as an elf, sometimes I take the form of a daisy. But oftentimes, I wish I am a fairy.
